ARTISTS IN RESIDENCY PROGRAMS
What awaits you at Residencia Corazón is more than just a residency—it’s an inspiring journey. We offer three different types of Residency Programs, each designed to provide artists with their own work and living space, granting them the freedom to create and explore. With the vibrant city of La Plata as their canvas and inspiration, residents have the opportunity to connect with the local art scene, cultural institutions, and the public at large. Beyond the artistic purpose, our goal is for this experience to transcend into a meaningful learning adventure, fostering personal and professional growth that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Our project is defined by fostering close and intimate relationships with each resident, emphasizing personalized and independent exchanges among regional, national, and international artists. This mutual enrichment opens doors to new aesthetic realities and unique approaches to creativity. Residents not only enjoy a dynamic and vibrant environment for completing their projects, but they also immerse themselves in the city, networking with local communities and institutions while embracing opportunities for learning and collaboration!

La Plata is one of Latin America’s most literary cities. Home to one of the largest universities in the region, with a tradition of intellectual and literary life that runs deeper than its proximity to Buenos Aires suggests. It’s a city of readers, of independent bookstores, of writers who chose to stay. The distance from Buenos Aires — one hour by train — is exactly what makes it work: close enough to access, far enough to write.
The Writing Journey gives you time. Not structured time — your own time. A quiet room, a desk, a city that hasn’t been discovered yet, and a team that will leave you alone when you need it and be there when you don’t.
Key Features:
– Private room with dedicated desk space — yours for the duration of the stay.
– Invitation letter issued within 24 hours, any day you need it. Essential for PEN grants, national literary funds, and mobility programs.
– Open to all genres: novel, short fiction, poetry, essay, creative nonfiction, screenwriting, playwriting, academic research, and interdisciplinary writing.
– Optional public reading or talk — if you want it, we make it happen. If you don’t, no obligation.
– Access to La Plata’s literary and cultural network: independent bookstores, university connections, and the local writing community.
– Starting at USD $ 800 per month · Minimum 15 days · No application deadline — rolling basis year-round.
