ABOUT RESIDENCIA CORAZÓN
Since 2002, Residencia Corazón exhibits art works and generates diverse interdisciplinary cultural events, in search for an original aesthetics. It emphasizes on quality, with works that may not participate or fit in established art venues. Located in the city center, Residencia Corazón is a meeting place not only for local artists but also for the general public.
Residencia Corazón – Artist in Residency (A-I-R) Program was initiated in 2006 to promote mutual enrichment through professional and emotive approaches for new experiences and aesthetic realities.
Residencia Corazón has the institutional support of the National Department of Culture, the Cultural Institute of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Municipality of La Plata and the National University of La Plata, among other institutions and groups that help us make our project a reality.
OUR COMMITMENT
We do not pretend to be a sophisticated institution. We are a group of passionate artists who seek to foster cultural, professional and personal exchange by inviting each artist to inhabit their creativity in a warm and inspiring environment, where ideas can take root. As a pioneering residency in Argentina, we have welcomed residents from all over the world, and each one leaves their mark on this space, just as this space leaves its mark on them.
We deeply believe in the power of creativity to transform the world. This is how we started this project, with the desire to offer an inspiring and unpretentious space for emerging talents. A place where your work is taken seriously, and where there is always room for exploration, mistakes and growth.
